I was born in Okinawa, Japan at U.S.Army Hospital to a USAF father and a Japanese mother. We returned to the U.S. before I was two months old. We lived for a short time in Albany, Georgia before moving to western NY state after my father was honourably discharged from the USAF. I was a hurt/comfort fan well before I knew what it was called (and perhaps worried that I was more than a bit odd for liking my favourite character to be hurt onscreen and to be comforted). Truly fell into fandom while in high school and then later college. I've written fanfic since college - though with no real consistency. Fell into slash via a B5 list and discovered I quite preferred it. Since then my interests have expanded to include other fandoms. Thank god for the internet. I was around as it was just starting to explode and saw XF fandom and online fanfiction in its infancy. Today - I wouldn't trade my internet access for a million bucks. ;)
